Import Documentation From China

If the imported goods are cleared through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, there’s no need to file a formal Bill of Entry (Shipment Bill stating the value of and nature of goods).But, the importer has to file a cargo declaration

In case of non-EDI system, the following set of documents are required for import clearance:

  • Signed invoice
  • Packing list
  • Airway Bill/ Deliver Order or Bill of Lading
  • General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) declaration form
  • Importer’s/CHA’s declaration
  • Letter of Credit or Bank Draft (wherever necessary)
  • Import License
  • Insurance Documentation
  • In case of chemical, Test Report
  • Industrial License, if necessary
  • Adhoc exemption order
  • Duty Entitlement Pass Book/Duty Exemption Entitlement Certificate in original
  • Catalogue/ Technical guide in case of Machineries, spare parts
  • Certificate of Origin
  • No commission declaration

Importer’s KYC

  • Copy of IEC Code
  • Copy of PAN Card
  • Address proof
  • Bank attested Signature
  • Copy of VAT/Sales Tax registration
  • KYC form duly filled
  • Copy of AOA and MOA (for PVT. LTD. Company)
  • Board resolution (for PVT. LTD. Company)
